Buh-Bye Wireless, Hello Dial-Up

| Comments (3)

[Moozik: The Cure - Lullaby]

For the past oh-goodness-knows-how-long, I've enjoyed some *cough* free wireless broadband. That all ended last week when my neighbors moved :-) I won't have cable access at the house until the 19th of September. So, in the meantime I'm enjoying dial-up. Ah yes good times.

Brian - this will explain my lack of activity on a certain site you invited me to recently :-)

I was just going to ask you about your lack of activity. =P

I'm really amused that you've been *cough* borrowing your internet connection. Especially since I infer that you've not had your own broadband connection for quite a while.

I had DSL for about 2 years and in early 2003 cancelled the service. That's another story for another day though :-)

For me the neighbor's connection is strictly for redundancy. I would never "borrow" like that. For some reason my daughter could never connect to my server, but could always connect to them. Now that my cheapo router took a dump, she uses that until I get a new router. Oh wait, that was 6 months ago. Nice to know that the backup systems are working.
