Jack Black. What The Hell?

Am I the only one who just doesn't get Jack Black? I don't think he's funny and usually, I want to slap him.

I like some of his stuff... and he has a pretty decent voice (i.e. High Fidelity).

I haven't seen High Fidelity so can't really comment. I dunno, I think I just don't "get" his humor or something. Whenever I've seen him on awards shows doing his little "skits" he's just annoyed me.
Of course I might be tainted by the fact that I had the misfortune to watch Nacho Libre on the plane a couple of weeks ago. Oh my god did that suck.
Now, Eddie Izzard on the other hand makes me wet myself with laughter.

I didn't see Nacho Libre, there are times I admit that JB's characters drive me nuts.. but.. I still think for the most part, he's funny.
I didn't like Jack Black initially because I felt he was a little over the top. I've come to accept that as just part of his routine:
He's funny in High Fidelity. Envy was pretty good if you like Ben Stiller comedies. His part in King Kong did not mesh well with the rest of the film, but he played it like I would expect.
