On Scraping Websites

I've written my fair share of website scraping code over the years and if there's one thing that I've learned from that experience, scraping code is extremely fragile. Anytime the site you are scraping changes, your code will probably break in various subtle ways.

Because of that I was very interested in reading Tatsuhiko Miyagawa's Practical Web Scraping with Web::Scraper slides from his YAPC::Europe 2007 talk. Web::Scraper sounds awfully useful and I'll be trying it out.
