Jol Sacked
[Moozik: Mind.In.A.Box - Change]
The only surprise is that it took so long.
Martin Jol has been sacked as manager of Spurs after three years in the job. Reports swept around White Hart Lane as Jol presided over Tottenham's 2-1 Uefa Cup defeat by Getafe, but the club only confirmed the news after the match.
About time indeed! ;-) Let's see if there's some sort of 'shock-effect'... Although it hardly was a shock i must admit :P
Things can only get better now! My club Feyenoord Rotterdam performed so poor last year and only finished 7th (it had been a couple of decades since they finished so low). We didn't even qualify for the UEFA Cup... :-( Now we're #1 after 8 games played. Ik know it's early days, but still...! http://www.knvb.nl/http/www.knvb.nl/clubs/eredivisie
The 'shock-effect' seemed to be missing this weekend for Juande Ramos' first game in charge (lost 2-1 to Blackburn) ;-) But it's still early days yet and they've just brought in Gus Poyet from Leeds to assist Ramos.
Will be interesting to see where Martin Jol goes from here. He had a relatively good season last year and is a good coach. I heard a couple of rumors that he'll head back to Holland to coach a Dutch team.
