Purchases From The iTunes Music Store

Last Thursday I bought an album from the iTunes Music Store and have been checking my bank account every day since to find out exactly how much they charged me.
So, it's now Monday and no transaction has appeared yet. At least I received an email receipt from them today to confirm my purchase, albeit four days old.
I wonder why it takes them so long? Every other online store I've used in the past couple of weeks charged me the same day and sent a confirmation email receipt immediately.
As far as I know, they take as long as possible to bill you in case you decide to buy something else - reduces credit card fees they're charged, so they make more money.
Weird that they sent you a receipt already though, so that doesn't sound right.

With other large retailers (amazon for example) not doing the same, it just seemed a little out of the ordinary.
