Moving In
[Moozik: Siouxsie & The Banshees - Not Forgotten]
New house, new start. Moved in yesterday. My dogs seem to be doing remarkably well for being thrust into somewhere new. Bless 'em. The first night in a new place is always entertaining. You hear something in the middle of the night and you're all "...what the fuck was that?...". Kind of exciting though.
I was at Best Buy tonight buying a washing machine and tumble dryer. Do you have any idea how sad it is when they ask you for your address for delivery and you give them the deer in the headlights look. I totally winged it and told the girl I'd have to ring her back once I got home in case I'd fluffed the address. She did a kind of laugh-yet-think-I-suck-so-try-not-to-roll-eyes maneuver. It was most impressive. The maneuver I mean.
Oh man, I am so jealous of people with washer and dryers. With houses in general, for that matter.
My apartment, so tiny and without niceties.
That was funny that you forgot your address though. Ha. Was the girl one of the usual teenagery valley girl types as well?
Ahh, moving into a new house.
It's kinda a neat feeling...
...and having a washer and dryer, geez.. I don't know what I'd do without one!!
Quarters are now for Vegas!
Jodi... I'll do your laundry then. For a small fee of course ;-)
Jake... You got it mate, total valley girl airhead.
Amy... Haha, yes a washer and dryer aren't the most sexy appliances you'll ever buy but you sure miss them when they're not there ;-)
Shoot, I've lived in my house three years and I still have to think about the address sometimes. I've also had this phone number for seven years and forget it regularly.
Congrats on the house. Just wait till repairs start!
kapgar... Now, my phone number I still regularly forget. You know, the whole I never call myself thing. I'm hoping my address sinks in soon though ;-)
Yay for a new house! Congrats!
Tori... thankies ;-)
