[Moozik: Hot Chip - And I Was A Boy From School]

I've got to think that terminal 2 at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport is perhaps the most boring terminal in the history of airport terminals. Ok, actually I think Venice Airport holds that record but Sky Harbor must come close. I woke up late this morning so decided in my infinite wisdom to grab breakfast at the airport. I dunno, I think $15.65 is a perfectly reasonable amount to pay for a sandwich and bottle of water. Ahem. It's funny how your stomach can override your common sense isn't it?

The bloke next to me on the plane cracked me up as he was sitting down 'sweet Jesus could they make these seats any smaller?'. I couldn't agree more. While we were waiting to takeoff I got talking to a British couple sitting behind me. They'd been over here on Holiday and were truely amazed at how friendly everyone had been to them during their stay. Maybe they expected everyone over here would be an angry grumpy wanker? We had a bit of a natter about Politics as I told them Ken Livingstone had lost the election for Mayor Of London. Being away from Blightly for a while means that I have no idea who Boris Johnson is of course so they were doing their best to fill me in before we took off.

Terminal 2 is the worst airport terminal I can think of besides the Florence, Italy airport.

Terminal 3 is a better, but the only time I go there is when I am flying to either NYC or to Europe.

Terminal 4 is a *great* terminal... and they keep improving it.

From the Too-Late Travel Tips Dept: The JetBlue red-eye is the best flight to NYC, imo, but US Airways has a few decent ones.

Did you fly into JFK or LGA?

Brian... Yep terminal two sucks royally. I totally forgot until I got through the TSA catastrafuck and realized there's literally nothing there.

Never went to the airport in Florence although I did drive there once and it was insane so I swore never to drive there ever again.

Flew into JFK. Wish the same could be said about my luggage which of course wasn't there when I went to reclaim my bags. They tell me it made it to Washington DC but didn't get put on my flight. Apparently it might come in tonight on a later flight. Might. Good times ;-)

You don't have your luggage? That sucks. Which airline? I got back from New Orleans a couple of weeks ago and United lost my suitcase. The lady at the airport lost luggage couldn't have possibly given less of a shit if she'd tried. Assholes.

Jake... The lady I spoke to at JFK was really friendly and helpful. And yeah, it was United. They're now telling me that my luggage got rerouted to Syracuse. So at least it's in the same State now ;-) I may yet see it tomorrow. Or not.

Boring airports.. hmm.. I'll take your word on it :) I've never flown in or out of Phoenix...

..and food at the airport is a major ripoff! But, when you're hungry ..and especially water, you really can't help but just pay the price. :P

... hope you have a good and safe trip!!

p.s. are Americans supposedly unfriendly? Or just AZ'ians? :P

Our foreign policy probably makes people think we are going to punch them in the face first, and ask questions later or something. :)

Amy & Jodi... yeah, apparently they were brainwashed by the British press that Americans are a bunch of rude arrogant pricks, which is somewhat unfortunate seeing as some of the nicest people I've ever met have been American. Oh well.
