[Moozik: She Wants Revenge - This Is The End]
The Dog
Foster has to go in for surgery this week for a potential tumor removal. Although I really don't think tumors are supposed to get smaller so the fact that his lump has almost halved in size since last week's visit to the Vet is rather encouraging. A blood test also revealed he also has very low thyroid levels so will be on pills for the rest of his life. That boy, I dread to think how much money I've spent on him over the years. Most expensive dog ever.
The Beer
Friday night at P.F. Chang's with the odd one or two Newky Browns before adjourning to Yard House (warning worst website ever) for more of that lurvely brown ale until 2:00am. I'm seriously considering switching my favorite tipple now. Who knew Newky Brown was so popular over here? Found it at another little pub on Saturday while waiting to go see Iron Man.
The Man
Speaking of Iron Man, finally saw it last night. Very good indeed. A little slow to start but ultimately worthwhile. Robert Downey Jr absolutely makes the movie. Good job indeed. For some reason I absolutely hated Jeff Bridges in the movie though. I consider myself a fan of his but did not like him in this movie at all.
The Cure
Wednesday night I finally get to see The Cure. They're playing a smaller than usual venue, Dodge Theatre, but I couldn't care less. If they're in town, I'd see them anywhere. One of my all time fave bands of, er, all time so I'm so excited about going. Why oh why have I never seen The Cure before?
I still can't believe that you've *never* seen The Cure before! You will *love* it!!
I still have to finish putting in my "past events" on last.fm, lol! Most of them are there though . . .
You are in for a treat with the Cure gig. I think they´ll benefit from playing at a smaller veneue!
Cindy... I know, what kind of fan am I eh? I'd love to see that list of past events. I only included a partial list of mine to avoid those embarrassing concerts I'd rather not admit I went to ;-)
Göran... Oh I cannot wait. It's been a long time coming. And the fact that they're playing a smaller venue is a bonus actually.
O poor Foster, that boy really goes through it doesn't he and I feel sorry for your wallet as well big brother. Give him a massive hug from his Aunty Ray and I hope his op goes well.
P.S Have fun at the Cure concert tonight, I'm jealous. I sure you'll love it. Never really liked them when we were kids but think that was because I had to listen to them being blasted through my bedroom wall and having to compete with you to hear my Bros songs!! Ah the good ole day!
Don't know if you've ever been to the Dodge Theater for a show, but it is a very nice, intimate venue. We went last night to see some old fogie bands and had a great time.
You will definitely enjoy the show there. Also, hit the parking lot on the Southeast corner of Washington and 4th Ave. It is catty-corner from the theater, which is on the Northwest corner. There are plenty of spaces and it is $2 cheaper than the one that Dodge Theater recommends on their website. When you see the beer prices inside, you will be glad you at least save something.
Ray... good news, my little boy did not need surgery after all. Woohoo. Vet not worried about it anymore because the lump has shrank so much since last week. It's barely even noticeable now.
Tony... no I'd never been to the Dodge Theatre before but loved it. Great venue to see bands in. I took your advice and went to that very same parking lot. You weren't kidding about the beer were you? Bloody hell. Yes, $10 for a bottle of Fat Tire is very reasonable bartender. Phew.
