In Which A Nice Break Was Had

[Moozik: The Cure - The Only One]

Had a nice break over Christmas, tried to ban myself from those intarweb thingies and for the most part succeeded handsomely. I hope anyone reading this had a nice time and hopefully Santa left you something nice under your tree.

So today I've been getting caught up on a week's worth of reading, and my goodness, snow much? Everyone it would seen, has had battles with that white powdery goodness for the past week or so.

Of course, living in the desert means that snow is not something that is immediately familiar to most Phoenicians and in fact yesterday was perfect hiking weather. So off to White Tank Mountain Park we went.

Shady.

Shining Through

Hairy.

Sun Beats Down On Us

Hilly.

The Signal Up There

An every once in a while, the cacti can make you laugh.

Pleased To See Us

And in somewhat unrelated news, my goodness is The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button a long movie. Good. Sad. Long. We caught the last showing on Boxing Day and had people walk out of the movie before it finished. Don't know if they didn't like it or just couldn't handle being at the cinema after 1:00am.

I envy you that weather Kev. It's cold here, the heating's on full and I'm wearing a jumper - indoors. I'd give anything to be able to go for a hike in shorts and a t-shirt right now.

I hope you had a nice Christmas my friend. I'd like to wish you all the best for 2009.

I did crack up at the last cactus photo. That's a classic right there. We went to see Benjamin Button yesterday. While good, I think they could have condensed it somewhat.

I saw Benjamin Button on Xmas day - it was good but too lonnnnnnnnnng - could have used some editing . . .

jonathan... ah yes indoor jumper wearing, those were the days. Had an excellent Christmas mate. All the best to you and yours for the New Year.

jake... yeah sometimes the scenery does all the comedy prep work for you ;-)

cindy... oh totally, I think some of the 'working on a tug boat' scenes could have certainly ended up on the cutting room floor.

I've said it before... you take some amazing photos.

marty... thanks. But they don't hold a candle to your videos. Now those rock ;-)
