Obama Press Conference

Did you watch tonight's press conference at the White House? Wasn't it weird to have an articulate President who actually used full sentences? A press conference that didn't make me want to punch my TV and I didn't cringe with embarrassment once. What a refreshing change.
Best moment for me:
Obama: (referring to the $800 billion) I didn't just pull that number out of..."
(queue dramatic pause)
Me: your arse, say "your arse", "you didn't pull that number out of your arse".
Obama: "...of a hat".
Me: oh but you totally meant "your arse".
I watched it. And I share your enthusiasm about being able to have a President that can speak complete sentences and be able to clearly outline his directions. While there are parts of the economic recovery that I'm not behind, I am for some that will help give a kickstart to the economy and help create jobs.
Arse would have been so cool...
I thought that during the inauguration when he actually said "NEW-clee-uhr." And it was used in a complete sentence. WOW!
It is finally nice to have a President who is obviously smart. I loved how aides and press secretaries and other people in the Bush Administration would say, "Oh, he's very smart and clever." We all know they were fooling themselves.

kapgar... oh yeah I noticed that as well. I was like, "he pronounced it correctly, woohoo".
avitable... that always cracked me up how they could say it with a straight face.
I didn't see it, what with living over The Pond and all, but I would have been with you on the arse thing. You bet he wanted to say it soooo badly!
