Rejoice kids. For today the new album is officially released in the US. Lucky buggers in Europe have already had a day's head start. And I'm not at all envious that my friend already received the box set on Saturday. No.
So go listen forthwith. I'll certainly be doing so as well as soon as my iTunes Pass download is complete.

Mine started downloading last light at 9:57pm. The album is not a favorite DM release, but it is a good listen. I'm hoping it grows on me. :-)
dave... all of the post Alan Wilder albums have had to really grow on me. This will be no exception as after a few listens I'm still not really feeling it ;-)
I bought it today. I like it so far. Not as much as I liked Playing The Angel on first listen mind you.
It's all about "In Sympathy" - that's all I'm sayin' . . .
FYE hasn't even shipped out my boxed set yet - it's supposed to come with an autographed CD!!

I was so damn excited to hear SOTU playing in an Italian record store on Saturday and bought it then! I guess it got released extra early... I love when that happens :)
I like it more than I thought I would (does that sound bad?) but also think it will grow more on me. I only have my crappy laptop to listen to it with here, but when I was in the store I thought the production sounded very good too.
I'm loving that they went back to analog gear for this album. Some of it sounds rather retro in a lot of respects. Peace is amazing. I'm going to see them later in the year. Can't wait.
annalisa... yeah, I think in certain countries it was released early. It was supposed to be April 20th in Europe and 21st in the US. After some more listens it is indeed growing on me. Glad you like it.
rob... me too, did you see the video of all the analog synths Martin was buying from eBay? We're going to see them on August 23rd in Phoenix. Should be an amazing gig.
British music press have generally said it is commercially new rather than artistically.
