A little drama around my building at lunchtime today. We have blokes painting outside...
Apparently one of them did something naughty as he was cuffed & stuffed by Phoenix PD a little later...
My tax dollars hard at work as it obviously takes three cars to cuff & question a cooperative suspect...
And then decide what to do with him...
whoa. any hints on why they nabbed the guy?
Wow, they have bars on the windows. I can't work out if that's cool or scary.
brian... no, no one knows why he was nabbed. They were going through his car and they took the license plate off for some reason though. One of the cops was asking for the painter's supervisor. But still no further forward as to why he was picked up.
dan... oh yes, it's a veritable mobile prison back there. Hope they had the A/C running as they kept the bloke back there for quite some time.
Most excitement I had today was earwigs.
Tax dollars at work, indeed. I mean, granted, I know they do their job to serve and protect, AND in the day and age of can't trust anyone, I can almost understand the need for backup, but it does smack of overkill for a cooperative person.
My guess is they got some tip off from someone about him smoking weed during his lunch break. Just a guess, though.

marty... there was a fourth car there for a while as well. Must have been a slow crime day ;-) The way they were searching him does seem to indicate they were looking for drugs. Or weapons. Or anything really. That's what makes guessing the reason for the cops showing up so fun ;-)
