About Black Friday

This year not only did we brave Black Friday, we fully embraced it. And there's no finer way to do that than going shopping at the mall at midnight after a full day of eating on Thanksgiving.

When the doors opened, there was massive surge and people actually cheered. Cheering because the mall doors were opening. I kid you not.

Outside

This was followed by people running once they got inside. Now, I'm not entirely sure why people felt the need to run to the shops. Perhaps I'm just a mere amateur shopper and have much to learn.

Insane

One thing was very clear though, midnight shopping is popular. Incredibly popular. The mall was absolutely packed.

Madness

An eye opening experience that was actually rather fun. Next year we'll do the same thing but go down the pub beforehand. Drunk shopping for the win I feel.

Wow, you did the midnight mall (or maul) Black Friday event. That's cool.

For over 20 years, I've gotten up at 4am to be at a store (stores) to get that deal that was too hard to pass up, so I know the dedication. This year, I got up at 4am, went back to bed and hit the stores at 7am. I needed the sleep and there wasn't the deal I was looking for that I just had to have.

That said, I did end up doing some good shopping and getting a few things on my list.

marty... oh yes we sure did! We found some good deals and had fun at the same time so it was totally win-win.
