Things I Like About America: Thanksgiving

| Comments (8)

As an Englishman in America I, for one, would just like to say thanks to Americans for having a holiday in which the sole goal is to eat as much food as is humanly possible. I think it's important that, you know, I contribute to that goal on Thursday. I feel it's the only polite thing to do.

You are a good immigrant. :)

jodi... hey, I do what I can.

Hey, it has a lot more to it than just eating food you know. Just don't remember what it is though.

jake... good lord man, and you're from here.

Very nice. You've learned a lot about the tradition of eating lots on Turkey Day. Enjoy!

BTW, drinking is an important part of the eating fest. Egg nog with spiced rum is what you start out with, then beer/wine or something with gin or vodka works, too.

marty... yes I've learned well mate. You know what, I've never even tried Egg nog in my life. Will be rectifying that this year.

The American Borg has you now... resistance is futile.

kapgar... ha, I think you might be right. In fact, I know you are ;-)
