New Addition
After owning iPods for years, and a MacBook Pro for just over 12 months, today I added one more to the Apple collection.
This replaces my old, beat up, downtrodden Motorola Razr that I've held onto for years. I'll be honest though, it was a bloody good phone that served its purpose well.
Now, off to the App Store I go and start downloading. What would you recommend? What are your must have apps?

Good for you! You need CameraKit, Tweetie 2 and whatelse? Have to check my phone and get back! Have fun with yours
There is only one "must-have" app... Ask Dave!! And it's FREE!

If my blog hosting company ever gets it together, you may actually get to follow that link!
Star Wars: Trench Run! I need to know how it is. I haven't gotten it for Katie's phone yet.
Other than that, Shazam!
6ft5... Thankies. I've tried Tweetie, Twittlelator, and TweetDeck so far and can't make up my mind which one I like the best. Certainly going to check CameraKit.
dave... ah yes, the famous Ask Dave app. I'd love to try that out. Once I can do the clicky clicky on that link sir ;-)
kapgar... oh hell yes, Trench Run will be a purchase today for sure. Thanks.
So you decided against the Motorola Droid? Well obviously you did as you bought an iPhone.
jake... well there never really was any question ;-) Those Droid phones are nice. But it's a little bulky and the OS seems a little slow after heavy use. Plus, the iPhone "just works" - which is what I want these days.
Ooo... Shiny!
Most of the apps I have are too special purpose for me to recommend in general. Now, if you end up trying to pick an app for a special purpose that happens to coincide with one of mine, I might be useful. (To that end, after much comparison, I purchased Twittelator Pro. Unless your a twitter group junkie, I recommend it highly.)
Also, Words With Friends almost goes without saying. My username is "RenM".
there's an app for gay men which tell's you if there is someone in your immediate area who are cruising for casual sex. I saw it on the telly! It even has an arrow to point you in the direction and how far away!
ren... ha, you know what, I've tried Tweetie, Twittlelator, Twitterific, Echofon, and TweetDeck. I gotta say I actually like TweetDeck the most. Oooh, Words With Friends - I've heard about that I'll have to check it out. Thanks mate.
simon... you saw it on the telly eh? Uh-huh.
Ummm... Ok. I use Shazam a lot (for the music geek who likes to argue song titles against She who knows this shit.)
The Man is all over this app that let's you track the night sky, oh and yes... the grocery list app. Freak the seniors out at the store.
nat... yeah, Shazam was one of the first apps I installed. My g/f has it on her iPhone and we used it so many times over the past year that I *had* to have it on mine. So bloody handy.
Oh now, see... I should have read older posts before I posted on the new one.
Congrats on the new iPhone (once again)
marty... ha, thankies (once again).
