Starting The Tradition
I hope you had as good a Christmas as I did. I loved the fact that it was our first one after moving in together. One of the best in recent memory actually. We opened presents on Christmas morning, spoke to my family back in England, and then went over to my girlfriend's mum's house to spend the day with her family. Ate so much food I could hardly move and a good time was had by all. I even baked some cranberry muffins. #allbymyselfohyesididsothere.
What made this year particularly special was the fact that we had a proper Boxing Day. Everyone did actually as we had all my girlfriend's family over to our house for food, drinks, and plenty of fun. To be honest, it was a little funny to hear Americans getting all excited about Boxing Day. A new tradition has definitely started and we'll be celebrating the day after Christmas every year from now on.
And of course, what Boxing Day would be complete without some actual, you know, Boxing. And thanks to the Wii, we did just that. I got my arse well and truly kicked by everyone. By girls. Plural.
I mean, I let them win. Obviously. Ahem.
My new black wii is all set up for Dad to win everything. Only to find my 5yo daughter has taken to bowling like a duck to water...... 4 straight strikes, 3 spares followed by another strike. That's not in the rules surely!!!
simon... oh yes, I got beaten at bowling too. Repeatedly. I don't remember any of that "not winning at anything" being in the rules either mate ;-)
Glad you had a good one, but seriously dude, you need to sort those Wii skills out for next year.
I got beaten by my wife at wii boxing last new years eve. i have yet to hear the end of it.

I got my ass kicked at Wii Resort "swordfighting." Really rather humbling his handle on new technology.
My wife decided against the Wii for now. Something about "we already have a PS3" So maybe soon. I need to play it some more. I've yet to do more than a bowling game or two.
