Pill Poppin' Prostitute
Well, at least that's how we lovingly refer to him. We're good like that, and he doesn't seem to mind. And bless his heart, he spent the better part of three hours the other night at the emergency animal clinic.
Over the years I dread to think how much money I've spent on him. He's the most expensive and pampered dog in history. And twice a day he rattles when he takes these.
It's a bloody good thing he doesn't mind taking pills. That pill popper.

Why does he take those pills? What's wrong with him?
I wonder if he can beat my now-deceased dog's expense. He was a rescue and should have cost us $50. The shelter never cashed the check, but when he was a few months old he started having knee problems. Thousands of dollars later, they eventually got fixed. Then, at the end, we rushed him to the doggie emergency room, on Thanksgiving, to have his spleen and the basketball-sized tumor that had grown on it removed. I can't even remember how many thousands that cost us. I think we're still paying that loan off several years later (the dog had to be put down six months after the surgery because the cancer came back).
The dog's a junkie... ha!
Poor mutt, what are they for?
finn... I'm so sorry to hear that. So far over the course of his life he's had four or five trips to the emergency animal hospital, an ultrasound, some polyps removed, and a rock removed from his stomach. Those were the expensive ones. So over 9 years I think we're up to a few thousand dollars. $900 in the last month alone.
nat... ha! In that pic we have an antibiotic, a steroid, some pain meds, and a pill to control his thyroid condition.
That is one expensive pup. But it's what we do for the pets we love.
marty... oh yes, getting out the wallet is certainly one thing we do for the pets we love ;-)
I love that photo of your dog's face by the way.
jake... thankies sir.
