What's In A Word?

Well, sometimes all you need is one word.

• One word movie review - Shrek Forever After: good.

• One word weather forecast: hot. (110° yo)

• One word concert announcement: Pixies. (hell yeah I said Pixies - woohoo)

• One word iPhone 4 reaction: drool.

• One word music review - How To Destroy Angels EP: amazing.

• One word describing 12 year old staying with us for the weekend: tiring.

• One word reaction to oil covered wildlife: anger.

How to Destroy Angels... you're the third person I've heard talk about this. Must check out.

The oil over wildlife makes me sick... and angry.

Re: Drooling and anger

Word.

nat... you should and the EP is a free download from their website.

finn... a little more angry today as I watched the news while eating breakfast. Sigh.

I really have no words to describe how I feel when I see the wildlife in distress like that. Anger doesn't really begin to cover it.

jake... I know what you mean mate. It's really heartbreaking to see actually.

But will your one-word concert announcement be followed with....

Tickets: CHECK!

Kapgar's question is one I'd like to know the answer to. I really would like to go see the Pixies, most likely in Vegas, since they are not doing a SLC date on this Doolittle tour (at least it's not been announced)

kapgar... I'm going to see if I can convince my g/f to go with me. I have time to work on her ;-)

marty... sucks that they're not playing SLC. I was actually quite surprised that they're playing in town here as Phoenix tends to be one of those flyover states when it comes to touring ;-)

Yeah, I still may make the trek to Vegas to see them. Stellar band. Saw them back in 2004 here in SLC and it was awesome.. one of the best shows I've seen. I've seen Frank Black a few times solo (and with The Catholics once).

As for the How To Destroy Angels EP, it's growing on me. It helps that it's very NIN-sounding (obviously). I find myself after hearing the EP track by track, that I go back to the last 3 songs on the "With Teeth" album. Musically very similar.

marty... musically the HTDA EP is very similar to NIN which I guess is to be expected. The very first thing I did after listening to it was go back and listen to NIN albums.

I adore Shrek to bits, It's got so much magic in it, and just a superb film and so hilarious.

zapor, I preferred it to Shrek The Third by a long shot.
