All very pretty, too. :)
Can someone please explain Lightroom to me? Is it like Photoshop? Different? Why might I need this as a photographer? Really confused.
I don't think I have the patience to tinker with photos in something like that. Not that I take any photos to begin with.
@sybil, thanks.
@megan, for me at least, Lightroom helps me do two things (1) manage my collection of photos - you can tag photos, add them to 'collections' (i.e albums) and (2) tweak and make little fixes - the one I almost always end up doing is fixing white balance on indoor shots.
@jake, that was why I put off using something like Lightroom or Apeture, or even iPhoto for so long. But once I got the hang of it, Lightroom is really quite easy to use and having a bunch of presets you can download makes those 'one-click-fixes' possible.
I've debated Lightroom for some time. I will have a chance to try it here soon as I signed up for the $30/mo Adobe CS6 Creative Cloud.
@marty, yeah I read about their per month offerings and it sounds like an interesting idea. And by the way I think you'll like Lightroom a lot.
