Going back to England last week was amazing. But far too short. Living in the desert means it's awfully easy to forget just how green it is over there.
And to visit those secret places you played as a child is an odd feeling isn't it?
Hope you had a good trip. Whenever we go back "home" to the place I grew up, it feels oddly familiar yet somehow different. Like it's a dream or something. I do get what you mean though.
Ahh. memories of where you grew up. Nice and green there, that's for sure.
Mine is Orange County, so I get to see more freeways and closed down shopping malls (and Disneyland, too)
@jake, yes, your take on it is spot on.
@marty, another thing that seems odd to me after all these years is all the bloody CCTV cameras EVERYWHERE. Since I've left the shores of Blighty it seems they've become rather fond of surveillance ;-)
