My one and only trip to the UK)My mom (who lived in the UK in early 50s) was a HUGE Wren fan (before we went to the UK, we visited Columbia, Missouri a few years earlier, where there's a retrsntoucced Wren church). My mom had treasured the story of the cathedral canons who manned the roof during the Blitz, knocking the unexploded off. When we visited St Paul's in 1980, we attended Evening Prayer there (though mom wasn't thrilled that the officiant led from the rear of the chapel).Now, off to read your post! :-)
