On this day in 1985 a little band named Depeche Mode released Shake The Disease. The first single of theirs I ever owned. Things would never be the same.
My first was "People Are People" which was '84. "Shake the Disease" was off "Singles?" Because "Black Celebration" was in '86, and I know it was before that!
Yeah, in between Some Great Reward and Black Celebration they had two non-album singles. Shake The Disease and It's Called A Heart. Both found their way onto the singles compilation. Which, funnily enough, was the first Depeche album I ever owned.
